Germany's Nürburgring opened on June 18th, 1927, a 20,8 km twisty devil of a race track. It had 172 corners then, too many for a driver to remember the exact racing line through all of them. Meaning, of course, that the best racing driver could pull off amazing feats of showmanship--if he was brave enough.

Nowadays VLN has a leading role on Nürburgring with 10 races every season, and the famous 24H Race in May each Year.

The VLN Series/Media Exposure  

 

The BF Goodrich Langstreckenmeistershaft Nürburgring (VLN Series) is the premiere endurance racing series in Germany, and is held on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife as well as the ultra modern Grand Prix Track and its state of the art garages, pit facilities, VIP lounges and spectator tribunes.

 

Fields of over 200 + cars customarily take the green flag on 10 occasions throughout the season and compete against not only each other, but the demanding Nordschleife race track, and, more often than not, the fickle Eifel weather.

 

Media exposure for VLN on Television for the season 2008 was extensive. The 10 races had approximately 153 Hours accumulated sending to over 14 million TV-households in over 40 programs distributed by 10 TV-stations. For the season 2008 in total there where more than 2000 programs with VLN sent on German Television.

 

The sponsors of the VLN in 2009 are BF Goodrich, H&R, Sport Auto, AvD, ATS.  BMW, Honda, Bilstein, Opel, Renault Sport, Seat, Gran Turismo, Stand21, Die Agentour, Stahlwille and KK are partners of VLN.
